Once again I pause in gratitude for the public library. I love libraries. It is just that simple.
This week I found the the fiction display set with a Christmas theme. In no time at all I had a lovely stack of books to look forward to.
- “Christmas at Tiffany’s” by Karen Swan
- “A New York Christmas” by Anne Perry
- “A Season of Angels” by Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer
- “Winter Street” by Elin Hilderbrand
- “Away in a Manger” by Rhys Bowen (I just finished this one and now have added the rest of the series to my read list)
Of course I also own a shelf full of Christmas themed books that I cycle through every few years. One of my favorites is Maeve Binchy’s short story collection “This Year It Will be Different”.
Having a good book to look forward to reading makes me happy. I hope you find your happy today!
I also love the library and Maeve Binchy too 🙂

I love libraries, too. I just spent part of the last few days in the one nearest me, to get on the internet. My Christmas themed books are mostly of the murder at Christmas variety. Then again, maybe I should seek out my annotated Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol. I never did read all the notes.

last week I read “Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen” by Vicky Delany and I have “Candy Cane Cupcake Killer” on my list for when I get through the current stack (two of which include murder…”Away in a Manger” and “A New York Christmas”). I too am good with murder around the holidays! 🙂
